SJE Consultants Limited has successfully completed key phases of engineering design and construction supervision on Segments 1A, 2, and 2A of the Northern Coastal Highway Improvement Project — a 94-kilometre route linking Montego Bay to Ocho Rios and vital to Jamaica’s north coast tourism corridor.
The project, carried out to AASHTO standards, included detailed design services, bid document preparation, tendering and tender evaluation, contractor pre-qualification, land acquisition assistance, and full construction management. Segment 1A also included remedial works to the approaches and wearing surfaces of six bridges in Hanover along the AJS Coombs Highway.
“This project represents exactly the kind of complex, multi-phase infrastructure work our team is built for,” said a senior project manager at SJE. “Delivering it across three segments while maintaining design consistency and quality has been a defining achievement for the firm.”
