SJE Consultants Limited has been appointed as the Grantor’s Technical Representative (GTR) for the Edward Seaga Highway — a phased, US$720 million controlled-access motorway project that will connect Kingston to Jamaica’s North Coast, spanning multiple parishes.
The highway is being developed as a 4–6 lane tolled motorway with grade-separated interchanges and intersections. As GTR, SJE is responsible for ensuring the contractor meets design standards and contractual obligations on behalf of the Grantor throughout the project lifecycle.
This appointment reflects the Government of Jamaica’s confidence in SJE’s technical capabilities and experience managing major highway infrastructure. The Edward Seaga Highway is one of the largest road infrastructure investments in Jamaica’s history and is expected to significantly reduce travel times while stimulating economic development along the corridor.
SJE Consultants Limited has been delivering engineering design, construction supervision, and contract administration on Jamaica’s most significant infrastructure projects since inheriting the legacy of Stanley Consultants Inc. (Jamaica) in 2020.
